We were greeted by Karol when we arrived who was just so lovely and welcoming! The room was very, very clean with lovely comfy beds. And had everything we needed including towels! My children said they had the best night sleep ever!The breakfast the next morning was very nice, you can pick as much or as little as you like and is cooked to perfection!Nigel and Karol are the loveliest people and their hotel is stunning!We can’t wait to come again!

From first contact with Nigel to leaving the property everything was perfect.I messaged to ask if we could leave our car from lunchtime as check in was 4pm and on the morning of our stay Nigel messaged to inform me our room would be available from 12pm which gave us an opportunity to enjoy the afternoon knowing we’d already checked in and unpacked.The breakfast was exceptional and everything was immaculately clean. We visited Lingwood Lodge as a weekend away before our baby is born. The owners were friendly and welcoming as soon as we arrived and were extremely attentive and always took the time to make conversation about life or your plans for the day whenever they saw you. The rooms were very clean and fresh and the breakfast was lovely. We had a fantastic time and will be booking again in the future!

Such a lovely place to stay. Karol and Nigel were amazing and if you needed or wanted anything they were there to help. Breakfast was beautiful and the poached eggs were the nicest I’ve had. Karol was amazing with our 15 month old boy and did him the loveliest little breakfast every morning. Beds super comfy and spacious, views were lovely and it was super close to the lakes and everywhere we wanted to go. Just an all round super place to visit with a lovely atmosphere. Wonderful place to stay and Nigel and Karol were perfect hosts. Fantastic breakfasts with a great choice. One of the best hospitality trays in the room we've had anywhere which is always a good thing.Just a few minutes walk to the lake, shops and many restaurants and pubs. 5 minutes walk to Bowness Pier with a great bus service to many places. Ideal location. We stayed for 6 nights and would have stayed longer if we had the time!

We chose Lingwood because of its proximity to Bowness and Marina. Our 3 night stay was for walking near Ambleside and Cartmel Races.It was perfect. Excellent room (4) and a first class cooked breakfast each day.Friendly hosts and easy parking.

Karin and Nigel were excellent hosts from check-in to check-out. I was contacted to say our family could check in early as the room was ready which was a godsend on a wet day. Breakfast freshly cooked and delicious. The selection on DVD’s was well received by our grandchildren. Proximity to Bowness pier and centre was a relief as parking could have been an issue. Thank you both for being excellent hosts. Will definitely return.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lingwood Lodge. The room was large enough for a cot and single bed for our baby and 5 year old, with a large comfortable bed for us. The location was perfect and the breakfast was tasty! I’d definitely recommend staying there.

Good communication prior to our visit.Room was spacious, comfortable and clean.Large bed ( possible king size) very comfortable.Good and clear organisation of breakfast arrangements.Breakfast was delicious, extra toast on request.Great late checkout time.Parking onsite and we were given the opportunity to leave car if we wanted to walk into town. Lingwood lodge is a great place to stay in Bowness. This was our first holiday with a young 5 month old baby and Nigel and Karol were wonderful hosts, going out of their way to help us with whatever we needed. The room was well-sized with a good view, the location very convenient and the breakfast was great. Would highly recommend them!

We travelled to Bowness for a family reunion and had a really great stay at Lingwood Lodge.I'd recommend to friends.Also...Best Full English Breakfast I've ever had.

Lingwood is in an axcellent location, and the rooms are very comfortable. We had a great view from our room. And for those wanting a good "set up for the day" brekky, than I can definitely reccomend this place. We will be back again soon.

First impressions were very good and improved as we entered the building and were made most welcome by Nigel the Manager who showed us to our room, which was large and airy with a great view over the lake. We had everything we could wish for, with a large comfortable bed, excellent en-suite bathroom and ample storage space. The Menu for Breakfast was extensive and beautifully prepared and served in a most attractive Dining Room. The location was ideal being secluded but only 10 minutes walk from the Town Centre and all amenities.

Nigel had communicated on several occasions that all was in hand with our short visit from the 16th-18th November 2022, breakfast to die for thank you Karol 😜 we were very lucky as we got upgraded to room (7) and the beds massive and very comfy, nothing was ever a problem for the hole of our stay, checking the diary already to see when we can return come 2023 🤞Thank you both 😁Geoff & Helen

Another fantastic 4 days at Lingwood lodge, we were treated like royalty by Nigel and Karol. Car Parking no problem, comfortable beds and spacious en suite room with soaps flannels and fluffy towels. I WILL mention the breakfast as this is the piece de resistance, Nigel who mainly does the cooking puts together all the ingredients you choose from a list and cooks them to perfection and adds a bit of flair with the presentation, wonderful. Can’t wait for next visit.

We spent 3 very comfortable November nights at Lingwood Lodge. Everything was spotlessly clean & the room cosy & warm. The hosts Nigel & Carol were very welcoming & friendly. We got a txt on the morning of our arrival day to let us know that our room would be ready for us by 12.30, with instructions for getting our key from a secure key-box. The location was ideal. Itwas only a 5-10 minute walk from Bowness pier, and although it is situated on the main road, was set back and so there was no traffic noise. We would certainly stay there again, if we return to Bowness.

We stayed for the weekend to cycle some of the lakes and have a meal and night out in Bowness. The location was perfect, the facilities to store our bikes was great. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and the breakfast after a wet and cold bike ride was just what we needed. Thank you

Very clean room with a big comfortable bed.Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty, the porridge was lovely. Karol and Nigel were welcoming hosts. The only slight negative was the shower it was hit or miss when you adjusted it, way too hot or very cold! Didn't spoil our time there though and would recommend staying there. Location was spot on too.

Fantastic two night stay at Lingwood Lodge. The location was superb with a short 5 minute walk to the Lake front, no hassle with parking as the on-site car park is perfect. The hosts provided a superb cooked breakfast that sets you up for the day of activities, whether it be hiking, gentle walks, a lake cruise or just sitting in the pubs watching the world go by. Definitely recommend Lingwood Lodge and hope to return in the future!

We stayed for 2 nights at Lingwood Lodge. It is an accessible location, ~7mins away from Bowness-on-Windermere. The lodge is beautifully decorated and has a homely feel to it,especially with Nigel and Carol whipping up breakfast each day. The rooms are large and the shower facilities adequate. Our hosts were gracious and ensured we had our needs attended.Would highly recommend this location.

This lovely B&B is in an excellent location a few minutes walk from the centre of Bowness. The room we had was spacious and clean and with all facilities and amenities. The breakfast was very good and very well cooked, served in a pretty breakfast room.Nigel and Karol are both friendly and helpful and are both exemplary hosts. They obviously love the B&B and this comes out in their attention to detail.

Stayed with my family. The trip was memorable one except for the quality of Avanti west coast train service which was well below standard due to train cancellations and delays (both to and fro). We traveled from London Euston to oxenholme and then from oxenholme to euston.Not related to this review but might be useful for readers if they choose public transport. What I liked the most is the location and the background of this lodge, all of us loved it. The hosts were lovely, beds were comfy and liked the breakfast (English/Irish). Very thoughtful to also include grroming kit(buds, threads and needle) in the toilet. The lodge is just 5-8 minutes walk to the lake and the boat ride, pubs, restaurants, Tesco express, costa etc.

An excellent B&B. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was comfortable and had everything one would need. Being able to sit out on a terrace added to the pleasure when the weather was so good. The distance to Bowness was great. Breakfast was nicely cooked and good choice for the child in our party. A great family weekend.

Check in was easy starting with a friendly message and instructions how to locate key via a key safe.Pleasant hosts who introduced themselves and make sure we had everything we needed. Lovely breakfast freshly cooked, thank you Nigel. Room was very clean and comfortable. Car park away from the road and lovely views with outside area to sit. Good location for local amenities and boat trips. Steep roads in places so may be a problem for some.

Location was excellent, within walking distance of the lake and other attractions. Spacious and comfortable family room and an amazing breakfast to start the day. Most of all the hosts were so welcoming it felt like home and nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely stay in a beautiful location, just five minutes walk from the lakeside.The off road parking was a godsend.Our room at Lingwood Lodge was roomy with a comfy bed and a well contained en suite bathroom.The breakfast was really tasty and we had a great choice, the poached eggs and bacon were delicious. Stayed in the family room. Very spacious and adequate. Well decorated and clean, the mattress very comfortable indeed. Had a very delicious bfast. Karol n husband were very friendly and hospitable. Lovely clean modern hotel just 5 mins from lake in a peaceful setting. Karol and Nigel were so lovely they provided everything we asked for. Breakfast was amazing hot tasty and they even provided fruit and yogurt for our 2 year olds which wasn’t on the menu. Cannot thank you enough for making our stay so enjoyable will definitely recommend to family and friends.

My husband and I loved our 5 day stay here. The location was perfect for walking to the lake as well as into town. The lodge is small and quaint, spotlessly clean, and comfortable. The garden area at the front is lovely. We had a delicious breakfast every morning in the dining room, made to order. Best of all, the hosts are friendly and accomodating. They told us about hikes around the area and recommended places in town to eat and to get picnic items. We highly recommend Lingwood Lodge!

We really enjoyed our recent 3 night stay.Lovely location, just a few hundred yards away from the ferry piers in Bowness so very convenient.Room was nicely appointed with plenty of extras provided like coffee and tea etc. The owners were very welcoming and allowed us to book in earlier than expected which was very much appreciated. Lovely choice of breakfast too. Wouldn’t hesitate to book Lingwood Lodge again next time we visit the Lake District.

A group of 4 of us stayed at the Lingwood Lodge in May this year and we were all veryimpressed with this accommodation and the service provided.The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable, and overlooked a beautiful garden. There was also a lovely terrace where you could sit and enjoy this view.There is a good selection of breakfast options, and the food quality was of a very good standard - if you want a greasy fry upthen this is not the place for you!The staff were very pleasant and efficient and accommodated our 4 electric bikes together with charging requirements, in their garage.Thanks to Nigel and staff for a lovely few day's.

Lingwood Lodge is in an ideal location just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Bowness and all the amenities, but quiet away from the crowds and noise. We received an early email to welcome us and inform us we could check in early, which was great as we were walking the last stage of the Dales way which is only a ten mile walk. The room was front facing across the lovely garden and in full view of the mountains in the distance. The room was a good size, bright and airy and with modern en-suite facilities. In front of the lodge is a great outdoor seating area, ideal for enjoying a coffee and a chat. Breakfast was in a lovely room with an excellent choice of food, which was outstanding! We were well looked after and felt very comfortable in this lovely accommodation. We would definitely recommend.

Right from the start the hosts were extremely friendly, the accommodation was immaculately clean throughout. The room was spacious and the dvd player with the TV was great for keeping the little one entertained. The breakfasts were also excellent, very fresh and well made with a good choice. This is our second time staying here. I think it suits us who are traveling with a young toddler. The location is perfect. The pier and the town are walkable. I really like that we could access our room once we arrived by getting the key stored in a safety box. Breakfast was freshly made according to the order we made beforehand and it was fantastic. We stayed in a family room with one big bed which could fit three of us and a small bed. I don't usually stay in the same place, but I make an exception with Linwood Lodge. I'm sure we will stay here again when we visit Bowness.

My friend and I had a very enjoyable stay at the Lingwood Lodge. It is a short walk up a hill from the Lake. Our room was very spacious and bright and spotlessly clean. We had a great stay, really hard to fault anything. Location is perfect and hosts were lovely. The room was quite hot but would just suggest offering a top sheet as well as a duvet and I am sure that would solve the problem.

Stayed two nights room was very nice warm and comfortable although the view wasn't up to much would have much preferred a room at the front.Breakfast was amazing 👏Location very good 👍Staff very welcoming and friendly 😊

Well positioned on the south side of Bowness, Lingwood Lodge is clean and inviting and very well managed with excellent comms to advise room ready well in advance of advertised time. Remote check in easy and convenient. Room clean and spacious with king size bed and lovely linen. Really nice and generous breakfast. Bonus points for bird-watching mindfulness. This B&B is highly recommended.

My husband, my five year old son and I have just returned from a 3 night stay. The owners made us very welcomed with the option of an early check in, which was very useful.The room was immaculately clean and a nice big size with a big window with views out to Windermere lake.The only small thing negative was that it was very cold (early March and I could have benefitted from a warmer duvet on the beds. However my fault I’m not asking for it at the time.Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and a relaxed setting. The breakfast itself was delicious and very fresh.Very happy with our stay, I would come here again and recommend to a friend.

A lovely welcome from the owners, nothing seemed too much trouble. The room was clean and plenty of space for our travel cot. The breakfast was very tasty and nice, quick service! Great location too.

Just back from a bowness weeken, stayed at the Kingwood Lodge room 1. Great stay on the Friday Nigel texted to say our room was ready early Nd we could move in which was a nice surprise.Lodge is close to all the amenities and room is spacious and very clean.Breakfast is selected the night before and a timeslot. Never done this before but it worked great and the breakfast was first class.As we was checking out Nigel said we could leave our car on the carpark, again a really nice gesture as it allowed to paruse the market on the tennis courts and walk besides the lake.All in all. Stayed here before and can highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Lakes. The location is superb, just adjacent to Bowness quay, minutes walk to the shops and restaurants yet still pretty much secluded. Rooms are spacious and well equiped and the couple who run the place are most obliging, nothing too much trouble. Not usually fond of breakfasts at hotels but really enjoyed the ones we were served here.

Lingwood Lodge is a small but very well run hotel. The room we stayed in was very clean and a great deal of thought had obviously been paid to the decor. The same can be said for the dining room and the breakfasts were excellent. Nigel and Karol were excellent hosts and very friendly and helpful. Because of the steep drive and steps at the entrance the hotel would not be suitable for disabled guests. The tea things in the room included biscuits and sweets and in the bathroom were face cloths and a small vanity set as well as the usual towels and soaps.

Once again we have had a lovely stay and in spite of the wet weather we were able to get around. The hotel is a very relaxing place to stay and we are always given a warm welcome and are well looked after. Everything is spotlessly clean and warm and the breakfasts are delicious. The lodge is convenient for the shops, pubs and restaurants and a car isn’t necessary to get about. We are looking forward to visiting again in the summer. Thank you.

We have been coming to Lingwood Lodge for a number of years now and this was another lovely stay. Communication and information was timely and detailed, as we received emails before our stay and even a text when our room was ready for check in. As always the room was absolutely spotless, with all the facilities we need. Breakfast was excellent, and all round service from the staff was perfect.

We always try to go away for our anniversary in January. We booked or stay at Linwood Lodge having researched the internet and looking at the previous reviews. The room was nicely set up although not large it was big enough. I like the fact that we had an email prior to our stay allowing us to book in remotely and put our things into the room. It was a very short easy walk into bowness. The breakfast was a quality offering and very nicely presented,.overall a really nice stay helped by some unseasonly good weather for January.Many thanks. Great hosts, very friendly and helpful offering advice regarding walks and places to visit. Lingwood Lodge is perfectly placed on the outskirts of Bowness but within easy walking distance of the centre. Good on-site parking.Probably the best breakfast with excellent choice and perfectly cooked by Nigel and Carol.Our room was spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming with coffee/tea facilities.We would definitely recommend staying at Lingwood Lodge.

We spent two nights here for a recent break. Accommodation was very clean and the room was comfortable and everything we needed was provided. Two day break between Xmas and New Year - enjoyed every minute. The location is perfect for us, 5 min stroll into the centre of the town, all amenities and the lake, perfect.The actual rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need, spotlessly clean and now also have extra co vid measures in place eg staggered breakfast sittings.The breakfasts are excellent and they have a goodmenu selection.Have been before this stay with my daughter and now have plans to go back with my grandchildren.

This was our first family holiday with our baby and Lingwood Lodge was the ideal placefor us to stay in the Lake District. A gorgeous establishment with brilliant hosts Nigel and Karol. A perfectly cosy, clean and spacious room and perfect shower (all very important when travelling with a baby in winter)! Lovely full English breakfast each morning. We were especially grateful for how Nigel and Karol went above and beyond in numerous ways; definitely didn't take this for granted. We would not hesitate to stay at Lingwood Lodge if we visit the Lake District again :)

Its a seven minute walk to Bowness and set in a quiet location and has free parking . We stayed in room 6 which had a king sized comfy bed . The room and good sized shower room were very clean and all the fittings were in excellent condition . Very pleased and would definitely return .

What a find, Nigel and Karol were perfect hosts nothing too much for them. Room was spacious with massive bed and seating area. Nigel's breakfast was so well cooked and presented (I believe they have won awards). The property is situated just a five minute walk into the centre of Bowness so no need to drive to the many eateries/pubs in the centre. I would recommend a stay to anyone (but book early).🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We stayed3 nights, 13-16 November 2021. We had read the very positive reviews of Lingwood Lodge and booked on the basis of those reviews. They proved to be very accurate as we found our experience of Lingwood Lodge to be completely faultless. A warm welcome from Nigel and Karol, a large very comfortable and inviting room with lovely views, well stocked toiletries and tea coffee biscuits etc provided. The breakfasts were amazing. Beautifully prepared food with plenty of choice in a very pleasant dining room. The location could hardy be better with Windermere, the boats, restaurants etc less than 5 minutes walk away with the main Bowness shopping centre only a couple of minutes further away. Parking immediately in front of the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Lingwood Lodge and can highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in this lovely part of the Lakes.

We stayed here for a couple of nights. We had the large family room. Lovely view of the front garden, great size room and there is also tea and coffee facilities. Good wardrobe space and smart tv and DVD player in the room. Breakfast was amazing!The location is excellent as once we parked up the car, we could walk to all the shops as close by. Nigel and Carol are lovely and we highly recommend Lingwood Lodge!

Spent 3 nights here for leisure and to meet with friends. Great location, just 5-10 minutes walk to the centre of Bowness yet peaceful for rest. I got a message from Karol on our day of arrival to tell us that our room was ready to check into at 1pm which was really helpful (usual check in at 4). Really clean comfortable room. Felt COVID safe during our stay - had staggered breakfast times so that there was a maximum of two rooms of guests in the dining room at any one time, plenty of sanitiser available. Breakfast was delicious, thank you Nigel! Very enjoyable stay, would definitely recommend and return

A spotlessly clean and cosy home from home. We couldn’t fault this place. A really cosy bed and everything we wanted for our very brief stay by the Lakes. They accommodated our late check in seamlessly. The breakfast was delicious and the owners were more than happy to give us some advice on a good walking route nearby. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to friends, and we would certainly stay here again.

We arrived late due to traffic issue, with prior arrangement we had agreed to collect our key from a key safe. Upon arrival we were greeted by the host who made us feel very welcome. Rooms are immaculate & comfortable. We stop in the Lakes quite often & have started to stop in other areas due to many visits to Bowness. This hotel has put it firmly on our list again. We stayed at Lingwood Lodge for 3 nights and it was the perfect short break away! The room and hotel itself was lovely and clean with all the amenities you need. Along with being greeted upon arrival, each guest are given own breakfast times along with breakfasts request the night prior which makes your stay even more personal. Lingwood Lodge is also in a great location with just a short walk into Bowness. Would 100% recommend this place and would love to stay here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lingwood, came for a birthday weekend with girls. We were made so welcome from the minute we arrived. Super comfy beds, nice spacious room and great location. The room was comfortable, well appointed and had everything we needed, and good shower with grab bar. Lovely view of colourful tall trees in a hilly setting even from the ground floor. It was pleasant to sit outside, admire the garden and look into the distance. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We tried a variety of breakfast options over a few days and they were all delicious, including the gluten free options. Note: The approach to the house has a steepish driveway.

Stayed at Lingwood Lodge with my wife and two kids in which I was really pleased. The hotel was spotless and rooms were very tidy. Breakfast was fantastic and suited to my needs. Nigel and partner were brilliant and it was nice meeting them. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Stayed for two nights. Very happy with our double room, it was spacious, exceptionally clean with modern decor. Hairdryer and toiletries in room. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided. TV with added bonus of DVD with a large selection of films for all the family if needed.Breakfast was cooked to order, all fresh and tasty.Situated very close to the lake and amenities. Check in and out very straight forward. Owners very friendly. Plenty of parking and we will definitely be staying again.

Lovely guest house run by Nigel and his partner... lovely couple. Made us feel very warmly welcomed with lots of knowledge of the local area and places to go. Breakfast was very well organised and the food was really good too. The bedroom we stayed in was basic but was well presented, clean and met our needs with its own ensuite facilities. The location is excellent, 5 minute walk to the ferry and boat rides , or a 10 minute walk into Bowness village where there's lots to do and places to eat and drink.All in all we are very happy with our stay and at what we thought was a very reasonable price per night rate. We stayed 3 nights. Would highly recommend.

The location is great, very near to "hub" of Windermere!!! Very reassuring to know you don't need to worry about parking the car!! If I'm being totally honest, the roads were a bit tricky to cross but then the roads are wind-ey & I am on crutches!!! The Lodge itself was beautiful, room very clean & bed extremely comfortable!! Nigel & Karol were wonderful hosts... nothing was too much trouble for them, very obliging & both were a wealth of local knowledge & tips!!!I would definitely stay here again & would not hesitate in recommending Lingwood Lodge as an A++++ place to stay!!!Thank you for making our stay so nice Nigel & Karol and we look forward to staying with you again in the future!!!Scott x & Sam x

Very good hosts. Room lovely and spacious with beautiful view of the garden. Very clean. It was our anniversary and the staff kindly decorated our room. Breakfast was lovely and service was perfect. The hosts gave us good advice of where to visit in the Lake District - which turned out to be spot on. The B & B was close to the lake and town.Perfect little get away.

Arrived earlier than check in time, was met by the owner who was very kind and polite, she explained the features of the bed and breakfast, and also said she would ask for our room to be made up next for us so we wouldn’t have to wait long. Location is beautiful and a short walk to the centre of Bowness. Room and building where very clean and tidy and the breakfast was really nice. I would recommend staying here if you are visiting Bowness.

from the very first moment our hosts Nigel and Karol were absolutely amazing. they are both very friendly and made us feel incredibly comfortable. we arrived later than planned and Nigel was still there awaiting our arrival to welcome us. the B&B itself is in the perfect location - quite literally a 2-3 minute walk straight to the lake and a 5-10 minute walk into the main town of Windermere. the B&B is very clean and comfortable and has a homely feel to it.we had breakfast every day of our stay - and every day the breakfast was absolutely faultless - cooked fresh by Nigel and Karol themselves - I believe they'd won an award for best breakfast at some point and it's easy to see why.Nigel and Karol are both very knowledgeable about the area and can recommend what to do if you haven't planned something. they've also got a very handy list of nearby restaurants categorised with their opinion of the restaurant.I could not recommend this B&B more - I would happily stay here again.thank you Nigel and Karol for your fantastic service.

Wonderful 3 days at Lingwood Lodge. Room was perfect for our requirements, a comfortable bed and very clean. The hosts made us feel very welcome and breakfast each morning was delicious. The centre of Bowness and lake was a 5 minute walk so very convenient. Only (slight) issue was the en suite being very small especially for two taller people like us but that may only be the case in our room (room one).

We would highly recommend Lingwood Lodge as a place to stay in Bowness. It is a small bed and breakfast place run by two lovely helpful people, Nigel and Karol, who do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. The room we stayed in was large with a double bed and a single bed which we needed because our twelve year old grandson was with us. He was very complimentary about the Wifi connection which was very good indeed but often is a let down in many hotels. The en-suite facilities were spotlessly clean. The full English breakfast was cooked to order and was served hot fresh and delicious. As previously stated we would highly recommend Lingwood Lodge for a stay in Bowness.

Premises situated only a short distance from the harbour at Bowness. It is a well presented property. Our room was large and comfortable. The toilet/shower room was newly fitted. Excellent breakfast. Owner very helpful with suggestions of where to eat and locations to visit. Would stay there again.

Very nice bed and breakfast location and the staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful.The location is just a short walk from the main town with plenty to see and do.A winner for me is the freshly cooked breakfast, can't beat it. I hate the serve yourself 'buffet type' breakfasts that have been stewed for hours under heating lamps in modern hotels. Loved it and will definitely go again.

What a lovely accommodation in the Lake District. We will always return to it when we go to Bowness, as it is only about 7 minutes walk from the Bowness Promenade, where all the Steamers and boats are in and out all day. We had a guaranteed parking space when we arrived and a warm welcome from Nigel. Our room was beautiful for the 3 of us, myself my husband and my grown up son. There was plenty of space and it was Spotless, airy,with a nice view. The breakfast were lovely with lots of choice. Nigel and Carol couldn’t do enough for us

First day we where welcomed up the driveway into a lovely well maintained garden, owners where instantly friendly and welcoming.Our room was really spacious, clean with comfortable beds overlooking the Garden and Windermere tree tops, great to wake up too.Very well catered for in the morning's, with a great choice breakfast menu.Our room was topped up daily with refreshments, and our room looked after.Overall a beautiful establishment with wonderful people and would highly recommend for anyone wanting a short or long stay close to the town centre.

The lodge is situated a couple of minutes walk down the hill to the marina which makes it an ideal base to explore the lake. Despite the current restrictions, the management delivered an fabulous breakfast and were around if needed.The only improvement I could suggest is a small fridge in the room however, we were allowed to use the fridge in an adjacent store room as a substitute.A lovely place!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this very nice B&B situated 5 minutes from the centre of Bowness. We had a comfortable & clean room with full amenities and a lovely view over to the hills on the west side of the Lake. The breakfast was delicious, and Nigel the owner was friendly and helpful, and worked hard to attend to his guests. We look forward to further stays in the future.

We arrived 3 hours early as we had booked a boat cruise, the parking was really busy around the lake and we could not find anywhere to park, so we drove to the hotel to see if there was any chance that we could use the parking space that we had booked on line, we were greeted with lovely warm smiles by our host Carl. He checked to see if our room had been cleaned , it had and he gave us our keys and let us put our bags in our room before we went on our boat cruise , a fantastic start to our trip, we were celebrating our wedding Anniversary, and in our room was a lovely banner that said so that the hotel had put up for us, beds were really comfortable and the breakfast the next morning was one of the best that I’ve tasted in a long while, we will be booking to come back again in July with Carl and Sandra, amazing hosts and fantastic cosy hotel, thanks guys for making our stay a memory that we will not forget, Stu and Jo

The accommodation was spotlessly clean in all areas. Nigel and Karol were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfasts were excellent, with a choice and also allowed to order a sandwich when not wanting a full breakfast. Clean towels daily and also tea tray replenished daily. Location is excellent for all Bowness attractions and restaurants/ bars. Room was a little warm at night so perhaps a fan may help. Would definitely recommend this B&B , better than some 4 star hotels I have stayed home and abroad. Good luck to Nigel and Karol , keep up the excellent standards.

Clean, comfortable and very friendly thank you. Great at the end of our week long Dales Way walk. Very close to Bowness so easy to go out to get an evening meal.

Thank you for a wonderful first experienceof Lake District. Chose the perfect place for us to stay. Peaceful and quiet, with free parking on site and yet Bars, Restaurants, Waterfront and Ferries within five mins walk! Lodge is on an elevated position with beautiful views over the garden. Very clean modern rooms and exceptional breakfast. Carol and Nigel are wonderful hosts and we couldn’t have asked for more. We have no hesitation in recommending this place.

Very well looked after and excellent breakfast

We found Linwood Lodge on the internet and what a great find it proved to be. This was a last minute booking, but we couldn’t have asked for more. The hotel is situated just a few minutes from the steamer piers in Bowness so it is very centrally situated. The room was large with a king size bed overlooking the gardens and car park at the front of the hotel and was exceptionally clean. Everything that you could have wanted was in the room with a good range of toiletries, tea and coffee, biscuits and fluffy towels. The Wi-Fi worked very well and the TV received all the digital terrestrial channels. We had an excellent nights sleep and had a good breakfast which was included in the price before we left.I would have no hesitation recommending this excellent little guest house.

Lingwood Lodge is an excellent B&B hotel in Bowness. The couple who own it are brilliant hosts, very friendly and willing to help with any issues. It is located only a 5 minute walk away from the main bay/marina on Lake Windermere and has free parking on site included. We stayed in room 7 with our 8 year old son. The room was very spacious and included a huge super king size bed and big single as well as an en suite. There was plenty of choice at breakfast time, with food being cooked freshly and exactly how ordered the night before. Overall I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay in the area!

Upon arrival at Lingwood lodge, after a very long journey. We receiveda warm welcome from Nigel, who promptly showed us to our room and provided us with a breakfast menu so we could pre order for the next morning. Nigel also booked us for the earliest breakfast slot as we mentionedour 2 year old wakes at 6am. We stayed in room 5 which was very clean and comfortable. Next morning when we went down for breakfast Nigel greeted us all by name, which I thought was a lovely touch. Karol came and brought a high chair for our daughter and took our drinks/ toast order. Karol was very friendly and always spoke to us and our daughter in the mornings. Karol got to know our drinks order over the week and always made sure we had extra milk so I could fill up our daughter's sippy cup. The coffee and breakfasts were always hot,fresh and tasty. The location was brilliant, we were 5 mins walk from Bowness town and 10 mins walk to the windermere ferry. We had a wonderful holiday and would highly recommend this B&B.

Nigel and karol were excellent hosts.and very helpful. Our room was very clean and modern- with ensuite . The lingwood was only some 5 minutes walk to the jetty and town centre. Breakfest was plentiful and absolutely excellent. The hosts gave us lots of information .all in all this accomodation was the best value we have ever had. I am going to rate this place 4 star even though I had a 2 star experience , this was absolutely through no fault of the managers Carol & NigelThe place is spotlessly clean , breakfast was gorgeous , service was second to non, Carol & Nigel are lovely people and cannot do enough for youBUT - we unfortunately were put in ROOM 6, the room is the smallest in the building, at the back, with a view of the bushes right next to the window separated only by a path,it might as well be a brick wall, I am a claustrophobic with anxiety and as a consequence had to sleep with a light on due to the size of the room, but struggled with my breathing,the room is dark and very hot With no air flowing through, Nigel brought a fan to the room but this was too noisy to sleep with unfortunately, I woke at 4.30 on the first night and 2.15 on the second with no sleep afterwards , Carol & Nigel popped a bottle of wine in the room and took a small percentage off the bill, but at £243 for 2 nights it was still overpriced , they tried to accommodate us in another room but were fully bookedWe will definately return to Lingwood Lodge if only due to Carol & Nigel , we will stay in a room on the front which are huge with lovely big windows and not claustrophobic at all (we peeped inside a vacant one with the door open)So , I definately recommend bookinghere but make sure you are not in room 6

My partner and I had a two night break at Lingwood Lodge in May after lockdown was lifted. The accommodation was superb and hosts Karol and Nigel were very welcoming, friendly and happy to provide tips and recommendations of what to do and where to visit. There was a wide choice of breakfasts which were cooked to perfection. Cereals and yogurts weren't available during our stay.Lingwood Lodge is a stone's throw from the centre of Bowness, is great value for money and has free parking which is a big bonus.We will certainly be paying a return visit!

A fantastic stay at Lingwood Lodge. Julie & Mark made us feel very welcome. Mark had plenty of knowledge of the Lake District and helped planned our days out/routes. We were able to check in early. Julie cooked an amazing breakfast and there were lots of choice. B&B was very clean throughout. And as a young couple staying in the Lake District it was refreshing to have a modernstyle B&B! The room was fairly big, with ample of storage. Great location, only 10 minute walk from the village centre. I'd definitely recommend!

Stayed for 4 nights recently, Julie and Mark are very welcoming hosts and nothing is too much trouble, upgraded us to a bigger room (No7) which had a huge bed ????????, breakfast was superb every day and a variety of choices but not as much as normal due to the difficult times we are going through.The hotel is close enough to Bowness so you can access all the amenities with just a 5-10 minute walk, parking available on site so it's location is spot on.Bowness itself is much the same as most places, lots of Covid check in points and sanitizer aplenty, all of the pubs and restaurants seem to be open although booking recommended at some.All in all a lovely stay, we will be back ????

Hotel was lovely, exceptionally clean and only a 5 minute walk into the middle of town where there are numerous bars and restaurants.We stayed in room 3 which was plenty big enough for us (2 guests). Breakfast was included which was cooked fresh every morning at the time we had pre-selected. Delicious!There is also a wide selection of DVDs available to watch which we took advantage of one night whilst we was there.The owners were very friendly and ensured they did everything possible to ensure you had the best stay. They suggested some lovely walks which didn’t disappoint

We were very happy with Room 2 as it was closest to the entrance and the breakfast room, very convenient for our child. Julie and Mark are lovely and we felt very welcomed. A cot was provided free of charge. The room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast to me was perfect, taste wise and portion wise. I cannot really find faults with the place at all!

My husband and I stayed at Lingwood Lodge for five nights and I am pleased to say everything was perfect. Five star all round! Mark and Julie were very friendly, attentive and super efficient. Any concerns I might of had regarding COVID were soon out of my mind once seeing how spotlessly clean everywhere was. I can’t thank Mark enough for all of his tourism advice, he always found the time to help us plan our day. The wide range of breakfast cooked by Julie was delicious, nothing was too much trouble. The B&B is in a perfect location, literally a five minute walk to the lake and all the local restaurants and pubs but in a quiet location for a perfect nights sleep. Lovey clean rooms, 5 min walk from bowness. Great location. Ample parking but we never moved the car once parked as walked into Bowness. Love the little touches in the room like a wash towel & really good hairdryer. Breakfast was lovely!

I usually visit Bowness on Windermere 2-3 times a year. This was our second time visiting Lingwood Lodge this year which happened to sit before and after the COVID-19 lockdown and ensuing adjustments. The rooms are cleaned to a very high standard, and the food is the best I’ve experienced from a guesthouse. The owners are friendly and accommodating, and the measures put in place for Covid secure are perfectly balanced to make it feel like you have enough flexibility without being too constrained.

Lingwood Lodge is situated within 3 minutes walking distance from the town centre. We were warmly welcomed and the room was large clean and modern with all the expected extras. Breakfast was well timetabled RESPECTING social distancing. The full English was delicious. A definite must stay with the owners adding their own charming touches. Will stay again.

Mark and Julie are excellent hosts. Breakfast was amazing every day and Mark also helped us plan our day every time we asked him. Rooms were comfy and the location of the lodge is an absolute delight.

With all the health and safety issues going on at the time of our visit, julie and mark have done an amazing job to ensure everything possible is done to make stay comfortable and still provide a world class fresh cooked breakfast. Spent 3 nights at Lingwood Lodge. Very friendly hosts who have a wealth of local knowledge. Bedroom was extremely comfortable and very clean. Breakfasts were fantastic with freshly cooked delicious food that set us up for our days exploring the area. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

The hotel was fabulous, great location and value for money. All the Covid safety measures were in place even at breakfast (lovely food) When you got to choose a slot to sit and eat to ensure space And social distancing in the breakfast room. Would definitely stay again.

Stay at the Lingwood Lodge for a couple of nights 20th and 21st July 2020.Absolutely no negatives here, as soon as you walk through the door you will be greeted with a warm welcome.Rooms are spotlessly clean and a decent size, toiletries and hairdryer are supplied along with tea and coffee facilities and plenty of milk!!!Breakfast is amazing best I've ever tasted, due to Corvid 19 you choose what you want for breakfast from a list the night before (plenty of choice) this helps speed up the time spent waiting it's all ready when you go down, a time for breakfast is also allocated so times are staggered to enable social distancing. There is hand sanitizer before you enter the main area and also inside.Just the perfect distance from the Lake, Bars and Shops about 5min walk and far enough away so you don't hear any noise, so peaceful.Would definetly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, friendly and peaceful place to stay and unwind.Will definetly be returning.

We stayed just as the Coronavirus lockdown happened and our stay was cut short, The management team couldn't have been more helpful and so apologetic. The room we had was well equipped, spotlessly clean and had a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious. I thoroughly recommend Lingwood Lodge and will definitely staying again once everything is back to normal.

Stayed here with our 2 year old little girl in room 7. The staff were so friendly and very helpful. Just a 5 min walk from bowness centre where all the shops bars and restaurants are it I in a fabulous location. The rooms were clean and tidy and very spacious. Would definitely recommend. X

Mark and Julie made our stay simple and easy. The hotel is in a ideal spot providing the best accommodation for our circumstances (young family). Great parking and within short walking distance to Windermere. The hotel itself and our room/bathroom are beyond immaculate and nothing is to much trouble for them to help us with. The breakfast is award winning along with the pots of tea!We are certainly returning here. Mark and Julie are so friendly and their love for what they do certainly shows in this little hidden gem of a hotel. It's a absolute 10 out of 5 for us. We loved Lingwood Lodge, Mark and Julie were friendly and great fun, the bedroom was huge and super comfortable and free parking right outside was a godsend in the middle of rainstorms! Delicious breakfast too, cooked to order with loads of choice - especially good fruit salad and bacon :) It was only a short walk into Bowness which is a fantastic little town, full of restaurants, shops and character. Mark was very welcoming on my arrival, Julie makes the best breakfast ever - fresh local produce and piping hot, you can't ask for anything more. We were given a warm welcome at Lingwood Lodge. The property is ideally located for walking into Bowness. Our cooked breakfasts were freshly prepared and were both excellent. Only drawback was that, despite there being sufficient parking, some of the spaces were a little difficult to access.

My adult daughter and I stayed here for a few days of RR prior to a conference.We had a great stay!The Rooms were clean and comfortable. The provided breakfast was plenteous and the food very good.The Location was great. We could walk to the lake as well as the local town.For traveling further taxi's would arrive within 5 minutes of the call andlocal tours would pick you up from the hotel(if notified in advance).We can't say enough positive about this experience and the hospitality and helpfulness of Mark & Julie!

The apartment was very clean and tidy.The hot water system was a bit of a challenge to get it right.

A lovely B&B just a 10 minute stroll from lake Windermere and the town centre which has a very good selection of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. A very nice hotel, very comfortable, very friendly owners who made our stay very enjoyable. They had a good understanding of gluten free which is not always the case when you travel. Ideally situated in Windermere for all the attractions. We will certainly return when we visit Windermere again

Had a lovely break at Lingwood Lodge. Lovely warm welcome, great room kitted out with plenty of milk for lots of brews, a teapot, plus biscuits, chocolates and mint cake. On top of that 4 minutes walk to the lake, plus a couple of minutes extra to the town.Free parking and to top it off an excellent freshly cooked breakfast.Would have no hesitation booking again- like a 4 star hotel with the personal touch.

We spent a very comfortable 4 nights here recently. Ideally situated within a 5 minute stroll to the lakeside and town, Lingwood Lodge is the ideal place to stay. Mark and Julie were the perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome, and catering for my gluten free diet was not a problem at all. Our cooked English breakfasts were wonderful and set us up for the day!Our room was large, comfortable and pristine, a sublime place to rest your head at the end of a weary day.We shall certainly stay here again, and cannot recommend Lingwood Lodge highly enough. We stayed at the Lingwood Lodge for two nights in Sept. 2019. First impressions were excellent. Very clean and tidy with everything you might expect provided. Within easy walking distance of the town. Very impressed. Soaps, shampoos, tea, coffee etc all replenished without having to prompt - better than most hotels we have used! Breakfast superb. Stayed in the Lingwood Lodge on the 5th September for 1 nigh one of the cleanest places I've stayed in if not the cleanest it was the best welcome we've had in staying in the lakes and the best breakfast will be coming back very soon.

Lingwood lodge’s location is quite good, only 5 mins to the pier and 10 mins to the central of the town. It’s easy to access through bus.The room is quite nice and cozy. The breakfast is beyond my expectation with very good taste and quality, having both buffet and order choices for cooked dishes including traditional English breakfast etc.The host Mark and Julie are very easy going and could provide a lot of local advices for trips.

This guesthouse deserves all of its four stars. I would highly recommend this to anyone, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, the rooms are very clean and spacious with a good sized shower. Breakfast is cooked to order and there is a good selection for all tastes. The location is perfect as it is a very short walk into the town and close to the lake. The owners are very approachable and have good local knowledge of the area and activities and nothing is a problem to them. I will without doubt stay in this guesthouse again and am already planning my next trip, keep up the good work Lingwood lodge

The room we stayed in was very stylish and spotlessly clean. There was plenty of room and the view was spectacular. Mark was really helpful and gave us a map of Bowness detailing all the eateries in Bowness. That was really useful. Breakfast was really good, cooked to order and delicious. Fresh fruit to finish. Just returned from a attending a wedding in Windermere.We were greeted on arrival and shown the facilities in the room and advised on breakfast times etc.The room was a good side, very clean and comfortable.We were at the back of the property so it was very quiet throughout the stay.The breakfast we perfect - plenty of options to choose from.The location is ideal if you want to be close to the lake and town centre.Overall, we had a great weekend and a great stay - nothing was too much trouble for our hosts.

We’d chosen Lingwood Lodge for its close proximity to Bowness and the on site parking. The location was perfect as it was only a 5 minute walk to the lakeside but as my husband had a temporary mobility problem we used the local taxi firm which was cheap and reliable .Mark welcomed us when we arrived and was extremelyknowledgeable of the area and gave us plenty of tips and advice. The spotless room was perfect overlooking the front garden - and the bed was very comfortable and we had a plentiful supply of bath toiletries and good quality teas and coffee and biscuits with even chocolate mints, Kendal mint cake and bottled water.The building is set back from the road and it’s the quietest place we have ever stayed in the Lakes.The breakfast cooked by Mark’s wife Julie was the best we’ve ever had. Everything was cooked to the highest standard and there was plenty of choice on the menu. The fresh fruit salad was excellent and the eggs were cooked to absolute perfection.We were able to relax and de stress in the 2 days we were there. Mark and Julie are the perfect hosts - very friendly and approachable.We will definitely return and can thoroughly recommend staying here.Worth more than 5 stars!!

Been here lots of times. The hotel is now run by new owners. Great location and nice rooms.The standards have dropped to be honest since new owners have take over. Later check-ins and constant moaning about how hard it is to serve everyone’s breakfast. My rating has gone from a 5 to a 4 star.

Arrived to a lovely welcome from Julie and Mark. Mark spent time talking us through the local map and giving us details of the area. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Lots of little extras like bottled water and a couple of chocolates. Breakfast was lovely and had plenty of choice. The location of the lodge is perfect. A very short walk to the centre of Bowness but far enough away not to be noisy. Car parking was great. Overall a really enjoyable stay and would recommend. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Stayed here for 1 night as a surprise for my partners brithday and it was amazing! We had Banners and balloons in the bedroom, which I asked for and received at no cost and felt it wasn’t an issue! The food was amazing with a fab selection of choice for breakfast, and everywhere was very clean. Excellent location, less than 10 minute walk into Bowness. Owners extremely friendly and nothing was too much effort.I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody. We visit the lakes a lot and it’s the best hotel we’ve stayed in. Mark and Julie made us feel at home from the start. Room was warm, cosy and clean, breakfast was excellent and Mark’s tips for walks and visiting around just perfect! I very much recommend it. Thank you!!

Me my wife and 8 year old daughter had a fantastic stay at the Lingwood Lodge. Julie & Mark are great hosts and gave us lots of information for things to see and do. The hotel itself is excellent with very spacious rooms and with oneof the best breakfasts we’ve ever had and Brooke saying the same about Marks special waffles. Thank you so much for a lovely stay. Excellent accommodation and hosts we would recommend to anyone that wants to stay close to town but still have peace and quiet. Added bonus of parking on site and breakfast sets you up for the day. Look forward to staying again

Stayed here for two nights. As previously, everything was excellent especially the welcome, food and room. Convenient parking for centre of Bowness, buses and ferry terminal. Plenty of nearby walks.

Very pleasant , warm welcome on arrival, lovely breakfast serve by a friendly gentleman who made a big effort to include my daughter in the conversation, nothing was too much trouble, would love to go back again one day

We stayed at the Linwood for one night and arrived earlier than expected we were met by Julie who gave us a walm welcome and advised our room was available. Mark greeted us the following morning for breakfast which Julie cooked......it was fantastic and set us up for our arranged walk. A great place to stay highly recommended.

Well thought out accommodation. Excellent breakfast. Very welcoming.

All thing is good, but the only problem is that shower water is very slowly.

Absolutely superb stay for our family, brilliant value for money in comparison to other hotels in the area. Staff were fantastic and really welcoming, made us feel completely at home. Breakfast was also outstanding and we were left wanting for nothing at all during our stay, would highly recommend.

The Lodge was spotless the only downfall was the electric shower which was hard to control at a constant temperature-the sink in the actual bedroom wasnt ideal.We enjoyed our stay and would lobe to stay again but in the room with the balcony would be very nice.

Lingwood Lodge is an exceptional guest house.The rooms are immaculate and the breakfasts are cooked fresh and are delicious.All the amenities of Bowness are 5 minutes walk away.A perfect base to exlore the Lake District.

My wife and I had an all to short a stay at Lingwood Lodge. Everybody were very welcoming, and eager to please. Their suggestions for things to do, and place to eat were great too.The rooms are well appointed, with very comfortable beds. For those that want be able to get on-line, the wi-fi is super-fast and free!When we visit the Lake District next, we will definitely at Lingwood Lodge again.

We stayed at Lingwood Lodge for our visit to lake district and were not disappointed at all with this lovely B&B situated just around the corner of Bowness-on-Windermere. Walking distance to town and it's piers is about 5 mins, close enough to town and far enough for a really peaceful surrounding. Sandra and Carl (the host) were really generous with their time and recommendations for places to visit and explore as well as good restaurants to go to. Our room was spacious for a family of 3 adults. Clean and comfortable. In all we had a lovely time during our stay in Winderemere.
