Access Statement
Lingwood Lodge is situated on a sloping site with a steep incline.
The car park is at the top of the driveway but there is a flight of 10 exterior stone steps from the car park to the terrace and a further 3 stone steps to reach the entrance porch.
All steps have handrails.
Two Double rooms and the Family room for 3 are situated on the Ground Floor.
Two Double rooms and the Family room for 4 are situated on the First Floor.
Access to the first floor is by a flight of 13 stairs with a handrail on one side.
There is no lift.
Assistance can be given with luggage.
All ensuites have walk in shower cubicles with shower trays and non-slip vinyl flooring.
From the foot of Lingwood Lodge driveway the main A592 must be crossed to reach the pavement which is on the far side of the road only.
There is a pleasant, gently sloping 400m walk, taking about 8 minutes, to reach the Steamer Piers at the side of the lake.
Bowness village amenities are a further 3 minutes walk.
The steepest part of the walk is Lingwood Lodge's own driveway on your return.
Stagecoach bus service 599 runs from the Steamer pier area to Windermere, Ambleside & Grasmere with connections to other destinations.
Windermere Train Station is 1.75 miles away, with plentiful Taxi services.
